Looks like Ol’ Dirty Bastard‘s finally going to get his moment on the big screen– in a way.
While a documentary about the fallen Wu-Tang member was released in 2009, it has been revealed that actor Michael K. Williams (best known as ‘The Wire’s gay hit man Omar Little) has been cast to play ODB in the feature ‘Dirty White Boy,’ a biopic about … a shady white manager he had late in his career.
The film centers around the “astounding” rise of Jarred Weisfeld, a 22-year-old VH1 intern who talked his way into managing the troubled rapper shortly before his tragic, drug-related death in 2004. The role of Weisfeld, who has gone on to produce several films of his own, including ‘Charlie Sheen: Hollywood Blackbook,’ and ‘Chasing Gaga,’ has yet to be cast.
